The Be Happy! 1 English/Spanish Program has been designed to teach both English and/or Spanish as a seconsd language to children in kindergarten, First and Second grades.

The aim of the program is to teach everyday language, providing a solid structure and lexical base for tha initiation of conversational skill. Since it is programmed for small children, tha lessons are easily understood and pedagogically graduated.

Through a careful control of vocabulary, structures and functions, the students are always aware of what is expected of them. Combining easy games, puzzles and lther activities, children are introduced to easy conversation to reinforce vocabulary and structures.

The program is divided into three different levels, of 11 units each. The books era designed to be covered n about 180 to 200 classroom hours.

The Woorkbook for the student contains grammar structures, new words and various activites for young children. These activities should be performed and discussed in class in order to develop conversational skills. They include drawing, coloring, pasting and other activities that make the book varied and attractive to the students.

Teacher can facilitate the learning process by using songs in each lesson combined with selected topics, as suggested in the teacher's edition.
